About

EvenStill is a sober living community in Birmingham, AL offering a men’s and women’s program.

Our logo comes from the concept of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

We believe the brokenness caused by drug and alcohol addiction can be restored by establishing a strong clinical foundation and working a 12-step program. Our primary goal is to cultivate the desire for long term recovery so that our residents can be proud to share their experience, strength, and hope with others.

All of our residents participate in either a PHP or IOP program at a local treatment center. We work closely with both the referring treatment center as well as the PHP and IOP providers to ensure that all clinical recommendations are followed. Additionally, EvenStill requires that participants attend 90 meetings in their first 90 days, find a sponsor, complete step work, and commit to seeing therapist a minimum of twice per month. We are also delighted to introduce our therapy dog in training, Chief Happy Paws, as part of our community at EvenStill.
